Refund Policy
Because Blue Line Custom Creations sells a mix of custom services, made-to-order products, model railroad items, fantasy tabletop items, and software, refund and return eligibility depends on the type of order and the issue being reported.
Eligibility for returns
Because many products are custom-made, personalized, printed to order, or produced after purchase, returns are accepted only when an item arrives damaged or defective, the wrong item or scale was received, or there was a manufacturing error or shipping mistake on our part.
Return qualification requirements
To qualify for review, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery, the item must be unused and in its original condition, and proof of purchase such as an order number or receipt is required.
Non-returnable items
We cannot accept returns or offer refunds on custom or personalized items, items damaged due to mishandling or improper use, or any item reported more than 7 days after delivery.
How to request a return
Contact Blue Line Custom Creations with your name, order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos showing any damage or error. We will respond within 2 business days with the next steps. If approved, we may offer a replacement or a refund depending on the issue.
Refunds when applicable
Once an approved return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of the refund. If approved, the refund will be processed to the original method of payment within 5 to 7 business days, depending on your payment provider.
Return shipping and exchanges
If a return is authorized, we will provide instructions. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the item was defective or incorrect. We do not offer direct exchanges because products are made to order. If you need a different item or scale, please place a new order.
Restocking fee
Approved returns are subject to a 15 percent restocking fee deducted from the refund total. This helps cover material costs, production time, and quality control for made-to-order products.
When the restocking fee applies
The restocking fee applies to non-defective items returned for reasons such as buyer remorse or ordering the wrong item or scale. If the return is due to our error, such as an incorrect item or defective product, the restocking fee will be waived.
Digital products and software
Digital downloads, software products, license keys, and activated software plans such as PriceTrax3D are generally non-refundable once access, delivery, download, or activation has been provided, except where required by law or when a verified technical issue cannot be resolved.
